P.M.A.F.T.W.

P.M.A.F.T.W. is my solo show at Land Gallery in Portland, Oregon. Opens (sometime in) June 2012. 

P.M.A.F.T.W. means Positive Mental Attitude and F*ck The World. These acronyms represent schools of thought that contrast each other and create a argument between them. In my life I swing back and forth between these mantras and most of time landing in the middle, the mixture of the two. 

This show is about the contrasting slogans, opposing forces, and the amalgam they create.

I plan to create large painting (larger than I usually paint), small sculptures (displayed on shelves), signage, and a mural installation. When I exhibition my work in a space, I really like experiment with the installation process and make it part of the art. 

This project is rather ambitious for me, I hope this kickstarter campaign could help pay for the supplies needed for the installation and the special products made for the show (prints and t-shirts).
